In a society that has so much wealth and addiction it is no wonder that so many find themselves in a situation that nobody would envy. The prospect of entering the justice system seems over powering. By nature everyone wants to do the right thing. If given the proper environment anyone of us would prosper. The prospect of being controlled in a prison society that has its own rules has to be overwhelming. This blog will explore, what is the proper environment. Does society have a responsibility?

A record 7 million people—or one in every 32 American adults—were behind bars, on probation or on parole by the end of last year, according to the Justice Department. Of those, 2.2 million were in prison or jail, an increase of 2.7 percent over the previous year, according to a report released Wednesday. 2006
